Business Association (GEMBA)
GEMBA has been established since 1993 to promote, encourage and support the development of ethnic minority businesses in Gloucestershire and to enhance the understanding by the ethnic minority community of the business world by disseminating information, providing business development training seminars and rendering advice on all aspects of business.
MISSION STATEMENT
GEMBA aims to contribute to the economic development of Gloucestershire by improving the survival and growth principally of its Ethnic Minority small business sector.
OUR ROLE
- Providing qualified encouragement, advice and help to those considering starting up a business.
- Giving high quality support and direction to owners of established small businesses to help overcome problems threatening their business.
- Identifying businesses with growth potential and helping the owners achieve that potential.

Promoting the principle of self-employment and the support services provided by the Agency.

To act as an advocate on behalf of ethnic minority businesses.

To raise the level of income to GEMBA in order to develop the service for new and existing small businesses.

To help in identifying the sources of finance and assist in preparing a viable business plan that can be funded.

To encourage ethnic minority businesses into the mainstream.
